Our simple maze proved to be a fun activity for a rainy day! Lots of opportunity to stretch, balance, wiggle and scoot! This activity also helped the children practice problem-solving, and cooperation. This was such a big hit, We will have to figure out a way to set it up outside too!

 Constructive Play
"Constructive play allows  children to explore objects and discover patterns to find what works and what does not work. Children gain pride when accomplishing a task during constructive play. Children who gain confidence manipulating objects become good at creating ideas and working with numbers and concepts."

Simple Tools

No instructions were needed for this activity. When the students walked into the classroom, these "tools" were a visual invitation to engage. The boys had a blast with these foam blocks, golf tees and rhythm sticks. They were so focused and absorbed in discovering all the ways to hammer the tees into the block and how to get the tees out so they could do it all again. Eventually the foam blocks started to break apart, but the activity evolved and continued on. You might call it play, but a critical connection between the brain, the eye, the hand, the tool, and the accomplishment were in full swing!

Summer Camps - Sign Up Now!

 

  Bizzy Bee Preschool Summer Camps! 

For children ages 3-6

Each two week camp offers a fun and relaxed learning environment full of hands-on activities including crafts, music and movement, sensory activities, water play and quality children’s literature.

Session 1: Under The Sea        Wed./Thurs./Friday - June 19, 20, 21, 26, 27, 28
 

 

The sea is full of surprises, so let’s dive in and explore everything from whales and crabs to seashells and turtles. Water, sand, sun and sea life make this week a real splash. Of course we will be getting wet, so be sure to bring along your swimsuit and a towel!

 



Session 2: Cowboy Camp        Wed./Thurs./Friday - July 10, 11, 12, 17, 18, 19

 

Giddy up kids and gallop right on over to this rootin’ tootin’ camp! Get ready to saddle up, round up the cattle, eat some grub from the chuck wagon and sing around the camp fire! See ya’ll there partner!

 

Session 3: Starry Safari         Wed./Thurs./Friday - July 31, Aug. 1, 2, 7, 8, 9  

Jump into your safari jeep, buckle your seat belts, grab the binoculars and get ready to head out on a wild safari adventure!

HOURS:          Morning Camp:          9:00 – Noon    

                    Afternoon Camp:      1:00 – 4:00 pm
